139 Services completes its 5 successful years with Indian Railways

“139 – Rail Sampark”, the national enquiry for Indian Railways has completed 5 significant years serving IRCTC in India, registering over 40 million calls & 20 million SMS in a month. We have achieved major success in finalizing revenue share agreements with all private telecom service operators which has resulted in enhanced revenue per call.
The last 5 years of association with Indian Railways has brought us closer to world class service, hence, we set a perfect example of public-private partnership.
“139 – Rail Sampark”, the Indian Railway enquiry services delivered by Bharat BPO, handles enquiries pertaining to arrival, departure, schedules of trains plying between two stations, PNR and reservation of berth status, fare enquiry, spot your train, availability of Tatkal accommodation, journey planning, concession, cancellation, refund rules and trains and the call center support is currently available in eleven regional languages across India. We serve the Indian Railway passengers through IVR, SMS, USSD *139#, and RailYatra Application.
Commenting on this, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Tandon, MD, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. (IRCTC) said, “five years back we launched this service, and since then “139- Rail Sampark” usage has gone up dramatically”.
