BSNL to launch 4G services in Indore division soon

"Internet on wheels" will be available in the current fiscal year

To keep pace with the private telecom operators in providing latest internet services, state owned telecom company BSNL is soon going to launch 4G services in Indore division by May, whereas Wi-Fi based  ”Internet on wheels” will be available in the current financial year. 

4G-based Internet facility allowing users to download the data at the high speed of 8 MBPS will be started by May next“, BSNL General Manager G C Pandey announced in a press conference.

The modules that provide Wi-Fi based internet facility in a moving car will be introduced in the ongoing financial year itself, he added.

BSNL’s internet-activated car kit would be available in three types, in the range of Rs. 6500, Rs. 27,500 and Rs. 29,500 (one time payment), which comes along with a standard dial-up plan of Rs. 250 per month, besides other charges on download and fixed monthly charges for the e-car facility“, Pandey said.

The General Manager said the Indore division has earned a revenue of Rs. 116.5 crore in FY13, and is aiming at earning the revenue of Rs. 147 crore during FY14.
