Indian mobile operator Loop Mobile and electronic payment service provider ZipCash have launched M Wallet service, where subscribers can access to make social payments to their friends and family by sending a text communication.

Loop Mobile M Wallet can be used to send money to any mobile number, irrespective of the telecom operator. M Wallet is free to transfer money and works for prepaid top-ups of any operator, and bill pay of any operator. M Wallet has online merchants integrated with ZipCash. To avail the service, consumers can send a keyword to special number to create free M-Wallet.

In August last year, Loop Mobile and ZipCash offered their subscribers to use mobile phones as a virtual wallet for mobile & utility services such as electricity bill payments, prepaid recharges, digital TV recharge, online shopping, buying movie tickets and more.
