Just minutes after India’s victory, Zomato posted thanks message for Team India. “Thank you Team India for serving the coldest dish – revenge 🤌 #INDvsNZ,” read the post. India successfully took revenge for the defeat it faced in the ICC World Cup 2019 against the Kiwis as the team defeated New Zealand.
Morning prayers
“menu for today: kohli’s century for lunch, 2019’s revenge for dinner #INDvsNZ,” said the first tweet of the day; wishing the cricket team all the best.
A billion thanks
Another post thanked Virak Kohli for his 50th ODI hundred: “Delivering happiness to 1.2 billion people! #ViratKohli,” said the post. Kohli brought up the historic 50th century in the 42nd over amid a huge cheer from the fans. The post had Kohli’s picture with words: “Delivering records. delivering victories and soon delivering a cup,” written on it.
Another post commended Mohammed Shami’s performance. “kiwis tasting really good in this shami-final #INDvsNZ,” read the post. In a historic performance, pace sensation Shami etched his name in the annals of 50-over World Cup history, delivering the best-ever bowling figures by an Indian bowler in the tournament. Shami’s extraordinary seven-wicket haul, combined with Virat Kohli‘s record 50th ODI century, stole the limelight as India secured a convincing victory over New Zealand in the World Cup semifinal. Shami’s spellbound the cricketing world, overshadowing Ashish Nehra’s 6/23 against England in the 2003 World Cup, making it the best-ever performance by an Indian in World Cup history.
Dreams do come true
Zomato team also dug out a 2011 post from captain Rohit Sharma. In the post, Rohit had expressed disappointment over not being picked for the 2011 World Cup squad.
