Under the deal, Juniper will deploy a 400G-capable network for the ISP powered by its Cloud Metro solutions, according to an official statement. The deployment will help Tata Play Fiber to meet the exponential growth in demand for high-speed internet connectivity.
With this deployment, Juniper aims to boost Tata Play FIber’s capacity by 10-fold immediately as networks in India reel under strain due to bandwidth-intensive applications such as video conferencing and gaming, the statement added.
Juniper will be supplying its ACX7100 Cloud Metro Routers to underpin Tata Play Fiber’s 400G deployment and the ACX710 for the access layer. This will further enable the ISP’s regional networks to distribute content closer to subscribers using Juniper’s solutions.
The networking products provider is also supplying its Broadband Network Gateway (BNG) subscriber management solution to simplify the delivery of bundled services such as internet connectivity, entertainment content and home security.
“With Juniper’s Cloud Metro solutions, we have built a 400G-capable network that is ready for current and future demands for internet connectivity that will enable a superior digital experience for our customers,” said Sachin Deshpande, Senior Vice President of Technology and Field Service Delivery, Tata Play Fiber. “Our experience-first approach and Cloud Metro innovations have laid the foundation for Tata Play Fiber to deliver unparalleled network experiences for its customers. We look forward to supporting Tata Play Fiber with their growth plans and are confident that they will be able to provide game-changing internet experiences for many years to come,” added Sajan Paul, Managing Director & Country Manager, India & SAARC Juniper Networks.
