Technical glitch reportedly has led Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) to delay its opening of the commodity markets to 1pm on February 13, instead of the 11am schedule earlier. “The Exchange is facing some technical issues in its commodity derivatives trading platform today, i.e. February 13, 2024, and the teams of the Exchange as well as the Technology Vendor TCS, are working to resolve the issue”, MCX said in a notice to exchanges.
This is the second time that MCX has now revised its opening time. Earlier, Zerodha and Upstox reported that the opening of MCX delayed to 10am from 9am because of the technical glitch. Later the time was further revised to 11am from 10am, later to 1 pm.
MCX too earlier issued a circular saying trading hours for the commodity derivatives segment for February 13, 2024 have been revised from 9am to 10am.
What Zerodha said
“Due to operational delays at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the commodity markets will open at 10 AM today,” Zerodha posted earlier in the day. “Update: As per the latest update received from Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the commodity markets are expected to open at 1 PM,” said in an updated post.
