NEW DELHI: Indian IT and consulting firm Wipro has won a $500 million contract with a leading US telecom service provider to offer managed service and some industry-specific solutions, the company said in a regulatory filing Thursday.
“Wipro has been awarded a $500 million deal by a leading US communication service provider. Wipro shall provide managed services for some products and industry-specific solutions,” Wipro said.
The time period for the execution of this contract is over a period of five years.
On May 31, Bengaluru-headquartered Wipro also announced the expansion of retail-focused capabilities within Wipro VisionEDGE+, developed in partnership with US telecom gear maker Cisco and AT&T, and leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS).
