To recall, BSNL introduced a Rs 699 prepaid plan in January this year as a promotional offer. It was then announced to continue till September 28. The telco has now announced that the plan will remain active till December 27.

BSNL Rs 699 prepaid plan comes with unlimited voice calling data. It comes with 0.5GB of daily data. Post the consumption of daily data, the speed is reduced to 80 Kbps.
In addition, the plan offers 100 SMS per day. Those interested can get the prepaid plan via retail shops or by sending SMS to 123 or by dialling the USSD shortcode. There is also a BSNL Selfcare app that customers can download to recharge their BSNL mobile numbers.
What do the rival plans from Jio, Airtel and Vodafone offer?
Airtel offers a Rs 699 plan to its prepaid customers. The plan has a validity of 56 days and offers 2GB daily data along with 100SMS per day. Users get unlimited voice calling as well. It comes with additional benefits like access to Amazon Prime Video Mobile Editio and Disney+ Hotstar.
Reliance Jio’s Rs 666 is the closest plan to BSNL Rs 699 plan. It comes with a validity period of 56 days and offers 2GB of mobile data daily. The plan brings unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day along with additional benefits like access to Disney+ Hotstar.
Similarly, Vi has a Rs 699 prepaid plan that offers 4GB daily data for a validity of 56 days. The plan comes with unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day.
